Centara Grand Beach Resort

Often people throw about the term best holiday ever because maybe its the most recent one or the only 1 they have taken. Coming to the Maldives and being an avid world traveller i knew it would be special but nothing would prepare me for Centara Grand. from the moment the seaplane touched down, we where well received by the whole welcoming committee and staff, i was impressed at how they received all their guests like VIP or royalty, at Centara its all the same, maximum 5 star service to all. We were booked in for a couple of days and could not believe how much attention to detail was shown via planning, events, right down to favourite drinks, Spa treatments. This place is amazing i had to take a couple of weeks and a mini holiday on the gold coast in australia just to calm down from it. Their all inclusive package caters for everrryyyyttthhiiinnngg your little heart desires, the drinks keep flowing, mini bars stacked and refilled daily. x3 5 star restaurants on the island to choose from that would cause New york and London establishments to question themselves. Hands down the best buffett i ever had and i thought the one i had in budapest this summer was special. Different themes every night, an italian restaurant with better tasting italian than that i had in italy, same goes for their Thai. You can tell i'm a foodie who loves his drinks but above this and the location the Staff are shining stars and i could name a few. Their attention to detail is immaculate as they remember your name, food preferences, how you like it, when you like it, where you would like it etc. The variety of sports and activities was excellent and i particularly enjoyed the whale shark swim which are located within 30mins of Centara putting centara grand square in the middle of the action, the Maldives must be the only place in the world where when someone screams "Shark" you dive into the water to see the mystic deep blue beauties, absolutely breathtaking, a true once in a lifetime moment. You have windsurfing, banana boating, standup paddle boarding there at you disposal your only disadvantage is time time time, not enough time to do it all. Take lots of pictures because when you look back through you will feel priviledged to have spent a night with centara grand... already planning my next trip out there soonest. Oh yes they had a PS4 in our room could you believe, not that i touched it once because i was so busy but nice to know its there anyways :) missing the island and all the wonderful people on it, thanks for a wonderful and life changing travel experience.
