History

Established in 1949.

Things started out very differently...Springmaid Beach Resort began as an economical beach front vacation option for thousands of employees of the famed Springs Corporation, whose founders and leaders believed in fostering healthy recreation options for their employee community. Springmaid Beach Resort rooms originally went only to Springs company employees and were $1/night. The price included a concrete slab for you to bring your own bedding. Today, Springmaid is a far cry from that, but we still strive to provide a great value for your dollar. And, yes, we got rid of the concrete beds a long time ago!

Now, we offer nearly 500 rooms, pools, dining, an ocean front bar, mini-golf, the Pier, a 35, 000 s.f. Conference and event facility and more. Springmaid is a great value in Myrtle beach for vacationers and business travelers alike. We have won numerous awards for customer service from the SC Hospitality Association and the local Chamber of Commerce.
